"At the center of your being you have the answer. You know who you are and you know what you want. There is no need to run outside for better seeing nor to peer from a window. Rather abide at the center of your being,  for the more you leave it,  the less you learn. "

Finding Yoga and Progress on my Path

Yoga found me 6 months after I graduated from the University of Connecticut as I searched for relief of my constant back pain due to many years of competitive cheerleading, gymnastics and a variety of sports. After relying on Division I sports trainers and coaches, I felt a little lost as I never had to think about my conditioning since it was always planned for me. I yearned to find a space that honored and challenged my body as well as my mind. After my first class, I knew I stumbled into the opening; it was then that I began on this amazing journey to learn more and eventually bring these teachings to those who seek its nourishment.

After spending 5 years in Boston, I decided it was time for a change and those changes lead me to San Diego where I could deepen my knowledge and new love of Anusara Yoga. I received my first teaching certifications at The Yoga Institute with Lex Gillan and Stan Hefner, specializing in Hatha and ViniYoga as well as Children's Yoga from the Indigo Yoga for Children program in 2003. I have been blessed to continue to study and train with Anusara Yoga founder, John Friend and Certified teachers Sianna Sherman, Michael Fukumura, Martin & Jordan Kirk and Desiree Rumbaugh along with Philosophy professors, Dr. Douglas Brooks, Carlos Pomeda and Christopher Wallace.

Deep, immense gratitude to all of my teachers, students, family, friends and colleagues who have supported me on this path.. I bow to you. Join me in my weekly or private classes to connect deeper to your heart and journey..let's have some fun!
